Chicago with the Wisels

We recently returned from a trip to Chicago with one of our favorite families, the Wisels. It was a wonderful weekend with the boys. Such a different experience now that they're both walking and able to entertain themselves. After we (just Lo & me) landed in Chicago, Lo and I went to Cam's daycare where they had Shabbat, sang songs, and played in the gym. Such a great experience for Lo. He was thrilled to have the space and the same size people to play with.

Throughout the weekend we spent time at the museum and the butterfly room...

 

had a great dinner at Fireside with the little guys,

not to mention a grown up dinner at Province and a delicious brunch at the Goldings where we were able to spend some time with the Katz clan and their beautiful children.

Julie and I went for mani/pedis (and I still wonder why I have to go out of state to get a mani/pedi).Lots of bathtimes (with some tears from Arlo).

 We were also lucky to spend some time with Jimmy and Julie (Arlo's new girlfriend) and have a steady flow of alcohol and laughter. The biggest event of the weekend? Getting Todd to sit through 2 hours of The Jersey Shore. After 2 episodes he was quoting it...finally, I don't have to be embarrassed about the trashy tv I watch...my secret is out...again, a lovely lovely weekend...
